Biography
I arrived in Bloomington, Illinois end of May 2026 to join ISU's new college of Engineering as a Founding Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining ISU, I worked at North Carolina State University as a Lecturer and Postdoc researcher from January 2025 to May 2026. I also completed my doctoral studies from here (2021-2024). Before coming to the US, I completed my bachelor's and master's in mechanical engineering from India in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
My research background is centered around the broad areas of thermal-fluid science and heat transfer. In the past, specifically, I have worked in the areas of heat exchangers, cryogenics, gas turbine combustion and alternative fuels.
Outside my professional work, I like spending time reading books and watching podcasts on various topics such as archaeology, history, physics, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, travel, etc. I also like gardening and going on long walks.
